Michigan Green Fleets

Overview

CEC’s Michigan Green Fleets is is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act program channeled through the U.S. Department of Energy. The four-year, $31 million project aims to increase the use of alternative fuel and vehicles throughout Michigan.

Putting Cleaner, More Fuel-Efficient Vehicle on the Road

CEC works with project partners to increase the use of advanced technology and alternative fueled vehicles as a means to reduce petroleum dependence, increase fuel economy, and reduce harmful vehicle emissions. With these cleaner burning vehicles on the road, CEC also works to build the necessary support infrastructure.

Our Goals

  • Place 270 alternative-fueled vehicles on the road
  • Build 13 alternative fueling stations
  • Train and coach those associated with these projects
