CEC promotes the transformation of the marketplace for clean energy technologies and practices. Our ongoing programs include:

Energy Outlet

CEC's Energy Outlet is a retail and educational space, offering the latest and greatest energy and conservation products. Consumers, contractors, and business owners can access resources and products in order to decrease their energy use, improve their efficiency, and increase their use of clean energy.

Customers will have access to CEC’s own experts, including on-staff commercial and residential energy auditors. Monthly and bi-weekly classes in the Energy Outlet’s Green Classroom will be available to the public on topics such as building weatherization, solar power options, utility bill reduction, and more.

The result is a one-on-one conversation with each customer who walks in the door, helping each of them meet their own unique needs. From CFL’s to home energy audits to solar information and referrals, the Energy Outlet takes you to the next level.

Rebuild Ypsilanti

Rebuild Ypsilanti is part of Rebuild Michigan, a network of community partnerships, made up of local organizations and businesses, that save money by saving energy.  These voluntary partnerships, working with the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, & Economic Growth's Energy Office, choose the best ways to improve the energy efficiency of commercial, government, and apartment buildings.  Rebuild supports them with business and technical tools and customized assistance.

To date, over 540 organizations across the State have become Rebuild partners.  Enrolled partners have pledged more than 100 million square feet to energy efficiency projects and to date have invested more than $69 million in efficiency projects, with first year savings totaling more than $9 million.

Solar America Cities

The Ann Arbor Solar America Cities program works to integrate solar technologies into city energy planning, zoning and facilities, to streamline city-level regulations and practices that affect solar adoption by residents and local businesses, and to promote solar technology among residents and local businesses.

Energy Star TM is a government backed program that helps businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.

This program leverages the nationally recognized Energy Star TM name, marketing tools, and technical excellence to help achieve cost-effective energy savings in the residential housing market.
