Program Highlight: Ann Arbor Clean Cities Coalition
At its start, the AACC offices were housed at Ann Arbor City Hall with local program coordination and support provided by the municipal government. In August 2006, Clean Energy Coalition, created specifically to house AACC, took over management responsibility of the program. AACC provides a forum for members to share information, leverage their resources, develop joint projects, collaborate on public policy issues, and promote AFVs in our community. In the past ten years of effort, we have put over 7,000 vehicles on the roads in Washtenaw County that use alternate fuels. If you are interested in becoming a member, supporter, or stakeholder in AACC, please contact Robyn Skodzinsky at robyn@cec-mi.org.

Energy Tips *Caulk and weatherstripping aren't just for winter! Sealing air leaks around windows and doors keeps warm air from entering your home. *Air conditioning filters and coils should be cleaned monthly to ensure that they are running efficiently. *Use fans. Ceiling fans can make a room feel as much as six to seven degrees cooler! *Shield your home with leafy trees and shrubs. Your landscaping won't just impress your neighbors - they'll also keep your home's temperature down. To find drought-resistant perennials, you may find this Better Homes & Gardens article helpful.
