Donate for Clean Energy

Picture it: It's November 26, 2015.  You've just prepared Thanksgiving dinner for your family.  As you sit down to enjoy your meal, you recall a time just seven short years ago when you relied on non-renewable energy sources to heat your home and bake a pumpkin pie.  It's a relief to know that you no longer depend on costly, dirty, and unreliable energy sources.

We're not just dreaming - this vision is possible!  By supporting Clean Energy Coalition, you can help make this vision a reality - Donate now and every two dollars you donate will be matched with one dollar from the State of Michigan Energy Office!  As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Energy Tips

Did you know?

You may be eligible for a financial incentive for your next renewable energy or energy efficiency project!  Here are a few examples:

*The federal tax credit for energy efficient home improvements was established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and extended by The Energy Improvement and Extension act of 2008.  The credit applies to energy efficiency improvements in the building envelope of existing homes and for the purchase of high-efficiency heating, cooling, and water-heating equipment.

*The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) allows lenders to add up to 100% of energy efficiency improvements to an existing mortgage loan by insuring a loan of up to 5% of a home's appraised value, with certain restrictions.

*Starting in 2009, certain Michigan taxpayers will be eligible for a tax credit for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy efficient home improvements.
