EECBG Technical Assistance

Funded by the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth, Clean Energy Communities provided comprehensive services to non-entitlement cities, villages, townships and counties that earned state Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBGs) in 2010.

Clean Energy Coalition provided 35 municipalities with technical assistance in completing the requirements of their grant proposals. The EECBG-TA Wiki, a custom Clean Energy Coalition project-specific website was developed to meet the needs of participating communities, facilitated project collaboration, communication and dissemination of project information.

As a service to all Michigan EECBG awardees (more than 125 municipalities), Clean Energy Coalition delivered “Local Energy Solutions,” a workshop featuring Pat Murphy, author of Plan C: Community Survival Strategies, during which 20 presenters discussed local power, renewable energy strategies, fleet options, solar power installations and energy accounting.
