Structures

The work of Clean Energy Structures is driven by practical necessity. The most efficient and cost effective way to extend the world’s energy supply—while reducing pollution, slowing climate change and lowering operating costs—is to make homes and commercial buildings more energy friendly.

The opportunity is huge. Consider:

  • Total energy use in Michigan is 3.2 quadrillion Btu, with total energy expenditures at roughly $32.4 billion.
  • Residential energy expenditures in 2008 amounted to $8 billion, mostly for electricity and natural gas, while commercial expenditures were $5 billion.
  • Commercial buildings—stores, offices, schools, churches, libraries, hospitals and more—consumed about 19 percent of all energy in the United States in 2008.
  • The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates fossil fuels supplying energy to commercial buildings contribute some 17 percent of all U.S. carbon dioxide emissions.

Today, there are more options than ever to help residents, businesses and municipalities save money on energy bills, reduce dependency on fossil fuels and cut pollution. Our goal is to find the best solution to meet, and exceed, each client’s clean energy goals.

With our team of skilled professionals, our hands-on experience, industry knowledge and financial expertise, we achieve remarkable results. Working with consumers, builders, operators and contractors, we attack energy costs and reduce the energy intensity of nearly any building type – systematically, affordably and with measurable results.
